Avery is known for stepping into high-vacancy and transitional assets and running disciplined, hands-on leasing campaigns that drive velocity. He has helped bring multiple Midtown and Midtown South office portfolios to 100% occupancy, often while competing directly with new construction and discounted sublease space.
His approach blends market intelligence, aggressive outreach, and modern marketing with active involvement in tour conversion, deal structuring, and negotiations — delivering measurable progress, not passive listings.
Avery holds a BA in Economics from Brown University, where he was elected captain of the Men’s Heavyweight Crew Team and later selected to the U.S. National Rowing Team representing the United States at the World Championships.
